Lund’s Tower- Sutton in craven acrylic painting

Lund’s Tower – Sutton-in-Craven | Original Abstract Acrylic Painting 16 x 16 inches stretched canvas

Bring a little piece of the Yorkshire countryside into your home with this vibrant original abstract acrylic painting of Lund’s Tower, one of the most recognisable landmarks overlooking Sutton-in-Craven, North Yorkshire.

Rather than creating a traditional landscape, I have reimagined the familiar view through bold geometric shapes and vivid colour. The rolling hillside is formed from layers of emerald, sage, turquoise and deep greens, while dramatic rays of gold, yellow, orange and crimson sweep across the sky, creating the feeling of sunlight breaking through the clouds.

At the heart of the painting sits the distinctive dark silhouette of Lund’s Tower, standing proudly above the landscape and creating a striking focal point.

The combination of strong black outlines, fragmented shapes and contrasting colours gives the piece an almost stained-glass or mosaic effect, making it a contemporary celebration of a much-loved local landmark.

🏡 A beautiful piece of Yorkshire art

This painting would make a lovely addition to a home in Sutton-in-Craven, Skipton, the Yorkshire Dales or anywhere with a connection to this beautiful part of Yorkshire. It could also make a thoughtful gift for someone who has fond memories of the area.
